Ok so the day started with a pretty jarring alarm. While it was set for a respectable 8.00am local time that was still 1am? For my body clock. Today is all about getting to DC from Houston.

Travel to DC

Loved my flight with Sprint airlines. Even won 1000 points during the inflight quiz. After 4 people were unable to correctly answer ”How many exits does this plane have”. Really did make me think just how bad things would be in an emergency.

After arriving in Baltimore I then made my way to the AmTrack station. This was not without drama. I boarded a train without a ticket because I was rushing. I then had a very nice guard call though and do a ticket booking over the phone. I only had to give all my personal information and credit details to a stranger… what could possibly go wrong? The AmTrack service was FAST. Much faster than it would have been to catch an uber.

From Union station I opted to walk to the hotel. 2kms later and a whole lot of sweat! As I had checked in on my mobile I was able to go direct to my room using my iPhone as the room key. No lines, no waiting. I was straight into the shower!

Datto Conference Pre-Game

Pretty much everything from here on in was drinking.. Not much to add other than ‘the Hepburn’ is a fantastic location for a rooftop party!
