Happy New Years everyone
Today we spent the day exploring Alice. Such a lovely town!
We had breakfast at a cafe in the main street mall, the cafe looked a little dodgy, but the food was amazing! After breakfast we found the Alice plaza, but on a hunt for a Telstra shop found a proper mall too.
Later we split up and Chris and I found a tribute to Nevil Shute – the reason we wanted to visit Alice in the first place. However the main library was closed (like everything else it seemed) so we couldn’t learn more.
After an icecream we found the RDFS (Royal Doctor Flying Service) museum. Such an interesting place and a fantastic service for Australia, Chris especially really enjoyed it. if your ever in Alice be sure to look it up.
Later we heading back to the campground and had relaxing afternoon and a swim before Dan went to church and Chris went to the pub. New Years eve was pretty relaxing as we sat around and welcomed in the New Year.
Have had to do this post while on the road, so will include any photos from Alice in the next post
