Made it to Carnarvon tonight. Sitting outside where it is nice and cool, especially after traveling through 45 degrees today.
This morning we had a look around Karratha and Dampier and went to see the statue of Red Dog, a movie we intend to watch tonight. Had breakfast in Karratha mall, which was a lot bigger than we expected. But the food was really good!
Pannawonaka is where we saw dump trucks driving themselves between the mine and the processing plant. Tried to get a photo, but it was around 40 degrees by that point and we weren’t keen to be waiting out in the heat.
Had lunch on the road and before we reached Minilya we found 3 Taiwanese tourists on the side of the road, run out of petrol. Gave them a ride down to Minilya, about 60km.
On our way we saw a couple of dust storms, a couple of which even rocked the camper while we were driving.
Made it to Carnarvon late afternoon for a swim.
Until tomorrow

So glad you saw the Red Dog monument. Mum and I saw the movie and loved it when it first came out. Love your blog.
