Mighty Problems
Over the last few days one of our campervans has had a warning light flash up, the vehicle then looses power and we have to pullover and restart the vehicle to get going again. This same vehicle also had the main ‘house’ door fail in a locked state. This happened on our first night in Alice Springs.
We called the help line at 9 pm and we’re asked to call back at 8am the next day which we did so. This was 8am new years eve. Mighty campers advised they would be driving a replacement vehicle up to us from Adelaide!
New years day (today) we have split up with Chris, Danielle and Gary heading north and the rest of the group remaining in Alice. By the time this post is online the replacement camper should have arrived and the others should be on the road. We don’t know quite when we will be back in convoy…

Day 3 – Port Augusta to Coober Pedy
Day 3 began, first of all waking up at 3.30 local time (being 6am NZ time) and driving around Port Augusta trying to find somewhere open for breakfast. Lesson learnt today: places in Australia don’t tend to open until after 8.30/9am. So instead we ended up at a truck stop for breakfast, which wasn’t so bad, and useful because we needed to fill up anyway.
